San Cristobal Island has really dedicated itself to the conservation of its animals and geology. Take time to get over to the Punta Carola and Playa Cabo De Horno beaches. They offer a stunning view while watching the sea lions play in the ocean. Be sure to interact with the marine iguanas that are always present in the sand.

Tortoise Time on San Cristobal Island

Next, head over to the La Galapaguera Tortoise Habitat. This is a San Cristobal Island sanctuary for adult tortoises. They are left to roam freely in this safe and natural habitat. See if you can find one of these gentle creatures and make friends by feeding them some leafs. Lastly, take a 1.5-hour boat ride to Kicker Rock. These rocks are one the most famous attractions of the Galapagos Islands. Snorkelers in this area have been known to see white and black tip reef sharks, sea turtles, rays, fish, and sea lions. If you take on the challenge of diving you might even see a hammerhead shark. Before heading back to the mainland stop in at Ochoa Beach. Relax on the white sand beach and watch the sun go down over the ocean.
