Your river cruise into the tributaries of the Mississippi River will usually bring you to Cincinnati Ohio.

You will want to see the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center which focuses on the underground railroad trail of slaves on their way north. The Krohn Conservatory has some of the most beautiful flowers and an amazing display of butterflies. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens is the second oldest such place in the country. The gardens are some of the most memorable you will ever see.

Depending on how long your day in port is and if you are visiting in season, you could see a Cincinnati Reds game at the Great American Ball Park. The Cincinnati Observatory is the oldest such observatory in the United States. The Taft Museum of Art not only houses some of the most wonderful works of art, there is a wonderful tea garden to enjoy some very pleasant relaxing time. You may also want to take a picture of the John A. Roebling suspension bridge, which goes over the river connecting Kentucky and Ohio.

Of course after all that sightseeing you will need some real excitement. Perhaps you would like to visit the Horseshoe Casino for some drinks, dinner and a little gambling.

However you choose to spend your time, Cincinnati is a great city and I’m sure you will be glad you took the time to see it.
