Most people wouldn’t think of Brandenburg Kentucky as a cruise port of call.  It is a small town in Kentucky that is full charm, history, and plenty of outdoor activities.  If you want to stay in town, check out the Riverfront Park.  It’s a great spot to play and relax with outdoor checker and chess tables, a gazebo, an amphitheater and picnic areas.  The park Gazebo hosts occasional concerts on the weekends.    Or you can just sit back and take in the breathtaking views of the river.

You can also visit Meade-Olin Park for some fun filled day activities.  There are tennis courts, basketball courts, playground area, picnic areas and a disc golf course.  There is also a 9-hole golf course with a country club for the golf fanatics.

Or if you are a history buff, a must see is the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail.  It is full directional signs that will lead you through many points of interest of the Great Raid of 1863 that John Hunt Morgan led his Confederate cavalry through.

Or enjoy a fun filled day at the Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area.  There is fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, an archery range, a rifle range, and a disc golf course.
