When does Costa's Caribbean program run?
December through April Costa offers cruises to the Eastern or Western Caribbean aboard the CostaVictoria and CostaAtlantica. Our Caribbean brochure will detail each itinerary and you can also find information immediately by looking at the Caribbean section of this website.
What does my cruise fare include?
Just about everything. Your cruise fare includes shipboard accommodations, ocean transportation, all meals, onboard entertainment and associated fees in force at the time of booking. Not included in the cruise fare are items that are of a personal nature including gratuities, shore excursions, airfare, telephone calls, faxes, spa treatments, salon services, photographs, laundry and valet service as well as wine, liquor and other beverages.
How do I get a price quote?
Please contact a travel agent who will be able to provide you with a price quote and inform you of the availability on the sailing of your choice. Your travel agent will also be able to advise you of any special promotions we may be running for your particular sailing. Unfortunately, we cannot provide price quotes or check stateroom availability via e-mail.
How do I find out about group rates?
A travel agent will be able to assist you in planning a group. With Costa, the minimum number of staterooms to qualify as a group is 8. Your travel agent can provide more details as to rates and availability.
How much money is due at the time of booking?
7-night cruises $200 per person
Final payment is due 60 days prior to sailing
Deposits and final payments may be made with credit cards, upon approval only.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to Costa Cruise Lines. All documents (deposit receipt or tickets) issued by Costa Cruise Lines must be returned before the refund can be processed. Cancellation charges, per person, will be assessed as follows:
70 or more days prior to sailing: Full refund
69 - 30 days prior to sailing: deposit amount
29 - 8 days prior to sailing: 50% of cruise/package price
Less than 8 days prior to sailing: No refund, 100% cancellation chargeA $50 administration fee will be charged for changes to bookings after cruise documents have been issued. Above charges do not include cancellation or change fees which may be applied by air carriers, hotels and/or other service suppliers, which will be assessed in accordance with each suppliers' policies.
Cancellation and administrative charges apply to both individual and group passengers. As no exceptions will be made on cancellation charges, it is recommended that passengers secure appropriate cancellation insurance through their travel agents or through CCL.
How old do I have to be to sail aboard Costa Cruises?
Passengers under the age of 21 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 21 years or older in the same stateroom. The only exception is for minors occupying a separate stateroom but traveling with parent(s) or guardian.

What if I need medical care?
A physician and nurse are available aboard ship during certain hours of the day and will visit your stateroom if needed. Customary charges are in effect for medical care.

The electrical current aboard all Costa vessels is 220/110v.
Can I celebrate a special occasion?
Ask your travel agent to make special requests for birthday, honeymoon or anniversary celebrations such as cakes, Italian sparkling wine and party arrangements at least two weeks before your sailing.
Does Costa offer a honeymoon package?
Costa offers a $99 honeymoon/anniversary package that includes a keepsake portrait taken by the ship's photographer, 8x10 silver picture frame, cocktail party hosted by the ship's captain, his/her robes and more.
Can I have a wedding onboard?
Wedding packages are available (onboard only) in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands only. Costa provides three types of wedding and vow renewal packages; an intimate package for the Bride and Groom, 2 witnesses and up to 4 additional guests; a package for those Near and Dear to you whom you've invited to share in your celebration; and a third package which includes a luncheon in the dining room. Packages begin at $550 plus tax. Please call 1-800-33-COSTA once you've booked your cruise for more information.
Do you offer religious services?
A full-time Catholic Priest (an Italian officer), is onboard to offer Catholic and nondenominational services. Special holiday services may be offered at the discretion of the Priest along with other ship's management. During Hanukkah and Passover, a Rabbi or "Jewish Chaplain" will be onboard to perform religious services.
What is the dining schedule?
It's a good idea to state your preferred dining times to your travel agent at the time of booking. While Costa cannot guarantee your time of seating, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please let us know if you wish to be seated with friends or in a non-smoking section.

Ristorante Magnifico by Zeffirino and Ristorante Club Atlantica are specialty dining venues available by reservation only for dinner six nights a week. A nominal service charge applies.
What about special diets?
Costa will make every attempt to satisfy special dietary needs. Just have your travel agent submit your request at least four weeks prior to sailing.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is allowed in designated areas in most rooms onboard. However, smoking is prohibited in the main and specialty restaurants and in the show lounges.
Does Costa offer a children's program?
Costa offers two programs for children for our Caribbean sailings. We have a program for children between the ages of 3 (out of diapers) to 12 and another for teens between the ages of 13 and 17. Both are interactive programs that provide daily activities such as costume parties, boardgames and junior aerobics. Children have special counselors and a room designed for their activities. Depending on the ship, Costa also has rooms set aside specifically for children and teens. Is babysitting available?
Group babysitting for ages 3 and up (children must be out of diapers) is available on request in the evening from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. When the vessel is in port, group babysitting can be arranged from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Group babysitting is generally available on all cruises, however, parents need to request this service when they are onboard. There is a charge for group babysitting. For Caribbean sailings, Costa offers its unique "Parents Night(s) Out." On two different nights, parents can enjoy two evenings alone while their children spend the evening with their peers enjoying a supervised buffet or pizza party and fun activities designed especially for them. Hours of operation are 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm and there is no charge for these two special nights.
What clothes should I pack?
Daytime dress on a Costa cruise is casual such as light, cotton clothing or swimwear with cover up. Tennis shoes or low-heeled walking shoes are recommended for exploring the ports of call.
Depending on the length of the itinerary, there are usually two to three formal evenings where ladies will wish to wear long gowns or cocktail dresses; gentlemen may choose either tuxedos or dark suites. On other evenings, resort attire is the norm.
What travel documents do I need?
If you are a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you'll need proof of citizenship in the form of a current passport or certified birth certificate and a photo ID. Naturalized U.S. citizens are advised to carry their naturalization papers and picture ID. Aliens who are permanent residents of the U.S. must carry their Alien Registration Card and passport. All others must have a valid passport and necessary visas. Please check the current requirements with your travel agent.
Where should I keep my valuables?
Valuables and personal funds should be placed in the safe deposit box provided in your stateroom immediately upon embarkation. It's recommended that passengers carry traveler's checks and U.S. currency in small denominations. No personal checks will be cashed aboard ship. Most major credit cards are accepted. Costa ships work on a cashless system. Costa provides a Guest Cruise Charge Card which lets you charge almost anything onboard.
