Our Travel Agents Program

The basic program is pretty simple. We provide you with leads in addition to what clients you already have. The more you sell, the more you get. The less you sell the less you get. We pay our agents 60% of the commission we receive, on anything they sell. We are currently waiving our administrative setup fee in light of Sept 11. We know there are many agents that lost their jobs as a result of the downturn in travel business. We want to you get back doing what you love. You will still be responsible for your Errors and Omissions insurance and a monthly fee for Apollo access.

Our family has always been at the heart of why we did this, and we have tried to make this as family friendly as possible. We also recognize that families come in all shapes, sizes and types. We welcome anyone who has the desire and drive to make this work regardless of age, race, background or sexual preference.

CAVEATS

We can only work with U.S. resident agents.
You must have daily access to a computer with internet access and a phone/fax dedicated to business use.
You must use the Apollo CRS to make bookings and do invoicing. We will provide you with the software, but there is a monthly service charge for connection to the system.
We strongly encourage our agents to have an 800/888 number. We provide information - you pay the bills.
Travel benefits (i.e. IATAN Card, Fam trips) are extended based on reaching minimum requirements as defined by IATAN and not before.
You must have the time to devote to this.
We can only add a few agents at a time. It takes agents a couple of months to figure out what works and what doesn't with our system.
We do not have a formal training program per se. It is more support and consultation based on need. If you are not a self starter, this probably will not work for you. Excessive hand holding on our part just prolongs a frustrating situation.
We do not accept people who are simply looking for great deals on travel. We invest too much in our agents to support self travelers.
We do not accept everyone as an outside agent. We evaluate all applicants and offer contracts to those who best fit our success profile. Note: Travel experience is a plus not a prerequisite. We can teach a good salesperson the travel industry easier than we can teach a person with travel experience to sell using our system.
