Ever since 1995, The Disney Cruise Line has been sailing the seas and bringing smiles to everyone on board. There are four different ships that sail under the Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Magic are currently in operation. The Disney Magic first set sail on July 30, 1998. About a year later on August 15, 1999 the Disney Wonder set sail as well. In 2011 the Disney Dream began its first of many journeys. A fourth ship called the Disney Fantasy joined the fleet in 2012.

Distinctively Disney

The Disney Cruise line is significantly different from any other cruse line out there. This is the only cruise line that was built with family in mind. Most cruise lines include casinos on board, but Disney does not. Disney’s goal is to offer a fun, family friendly setting. Young children, teens and adults will all find many things to enjoy while on board.

While on the ship, you might hear something reminiscent of your favorite Disney movie song. The horns on the ship play a variety of memorable Disney tunes such as Be Our Guest from Beauty and The Beast, When You Wish Upon A Star from Pinocchio and many more. Children and adults will be especially delighted with the many costumed characters on board.

If you are looking to cool off on one of these luxury cruise ships, you will not be disappointed. There are many family friendly pools such as Mickey’s pool that include colorful pictures of Mickey himself and a water slide. If you are looking to relax, there are a few pools that are exclusively for adults such as the Quiet Cove pool.

Fun for the Kids

Tweens and teens that are looking to have a good time without their parents will love the many youth clubs aboard the ship. The Edge is specially designed for children ages 11-14. Here they can hang out with children their own age and watch TV, play on computers, listen to music and take part in many different age friendly activities. Older children will enjoy the Vibe club. This is a club for teens between the ages of 14 and 17. The Vibe is a place where teens can enjoy playing video games, listening to music and relax in either the lounge or sundeck.

Disney Cruises for Adults

Parents who are looking to spend a little quality time with each other can let their little ones enjoy themselves in the themed daycare while they let loose at one of the many night clubs. Looking to catch a show with your favorite Disney character as the star? Not a problem on the Disney Cruise Line. There are many shows that cast your favorite characters in Broadway style productions that everyone will love.

As if the Disney Cruise line did not offer enough, there are also a variety of salons and fitness clubs for adults to enjoy. Children looking to play some sports will enjoy the activities centers.

The Disney ships sail to many destinations such as Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, the Mexican Rivera, and the Pacific Coast. The cruise lines also sail to the Bahamas where they stop at a private island called Castaway Cay.
